Spring Classic

The inaugural Spring Classic is an exciting new vintage car race with unlimited sound that primarily celebrates the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s. This will be a relaxed showcase for phenomenal race cars that will appeal to racing and automobile enthusiasts nationwide.

SFR SCCA will be providing all the usual on-track support for this first-ever ‘Spring Classic’ event on May 19th to 21st. The Spring Challenge is being billed as a sort of ‘Mini-Reunion’ for those of you who love Vintage a Race Cars” – think Pre-Reunion. There will be a full three days of racing for everything from 1966-1974 Can Am cars to 1983-2007 Winston Stock Cars.

We’d like your help in the booth, assisting us to find new participating members for SFR & SCCA in all of our fun & exciting motorsports activities.  Please email office@sfrscca.org if you would like to join us for one day or more.

The Spring Classic is SCRAMPs new event for racers of vintage road race cars and it looks like it is going to be a good one.  The field will be different from the Reunion.  Yes, there will be Formula1, CanAm and also Vintage NASCAR.  But there will be many former SCCA cars not seen at the Reunion, like Formula Atlantic & Formula B.  Fan favorite, TransAm and a big field of TA 2.5 will run, as will 73-84 SCCA production GT cars.  Also running will be 83-07 WSC & LMP, including SFR’s highly skilled Spencer Trennery in the Riley Daytona Prototype that is running at the Thunderhill regional this weekend.
