Bill Haener – Final Checkered Flag

It is with great sadness that we share Bill Haener has taken his final checkered flag.

A gentlemen racer, great driver and extraordinary coach, he was the epitome of ‘racing is in his blood”. Even veteran racers were able to glean extra knowledge from Bill during a bench racing session. He loved being at the track, and when he had to be on oxygen most of the time, made sure to be able to have his pump in his racecar, never to miss a lap. He was a loyal friend, full of good stories and lessons in life, and always able to make you feel everything would be okay. The world is a little darker this evening, but we know that he is now back with his beloved Claudette, who was waiting for him at the finish line to take that final victory lap. We will all miss him dearly!

The Celebration of life will be at the Moose Lodge in Orland Ca, on Sunday January 19th at 1:00. We are calling it a pot luck if anyone would like to bring anything to share.
