IndyCar has selected SCCA San Francisco Region Spec Racer Ford as Supporting Races at the Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey, September 2022.
The Laguna Seca Event is a “ONCE IN A LIFE TIME OPPORTUNITY” for the Spec Racer Community to show the exciting, close, competitive racing in the region
The Race Weekend will be September 9th, 10th, & 11th (Friday thru Sunday). The Support Races will be run within the IndyCar Schedule, and will consist of two 30 minute practice sessions on Friday 9/9. On Saturday 9/10 there will be one 30 minute qualifying session and two 30 minute races (2 ½ Hours of Total Run Time). Trophies will be awarded for both races (1st, 2nd, & 3rd). Podium ceremonies are planned.
