Registration Form.
The American Muscle Team Challenge is a non points, trophy race for
American muscle cars.
Each team is made up of four cars with drivers on each team drawn "somewhat
randomly" from
a hat. Efforts to level the playing field result in the "somewhat random"
drawing. For example:
A.) We try to have, at least, one Viper on each team.
B.) We try to have, at least, one Corvette on each team.
Additional attempts to level the playing field include:
A.) Using the PAX index scoring method
B.) Adding a index factor for street tires
C.) Adding a index factor for Lady entrants
We may experiment, since we know most, if not all the drivers, with
ranking drivers in one of four categories. All
National Champions, for example, would be ranked with a 4. All novice
would be ranked 1. Everybody else would
be in rank 2 or 3. In drawing, no two National Champions would be allowed
on the same team. It's not set,
but the idea is to have a competitive event, not rig who gets the trophies.
The objective is for a team to have the fastest "average pax time" over
two days of competition.
There will be twenty teams of four drivers with the top five teams
receiving trophies.
American Muscle cars eligible to enter this event:
Viper's
Corvette's
Mustang's
Cobra's
Camaro's V8's
Firebird's V8's
Etc.
Pre Registration is required and the registration deadline is May 7,
2001. There will be no entry's sold
at the event.
