THE PARTY!

Comaraderie of the Competitors, or Fun in the Sun? Well, both really...

It's the Divisional Party!!!

At every Divisional we take the evening Saturday to eat, drink, and party with the crowd. Chef Jesus Villareal prepares his famous dinner, there's plenty of beer, wine and soft drinks, and a wonderful spot to enjoy it, catch up with our old (and new) friends from the division. This will be no exception.

As Saturday's afternoon run groups finish, autocrossers will start to drift over to the nearby party site to rest in a cooler place, sip some suds, and relive those exciting runs, the cones crushed, the flat spots. Jesus' crew starts to produce heavenly aromas and the chips are passed around.

Somebody starts up a volleyball game, or horseshoes. When the whole crowd arrives, the food is finally served, and it is always worth the wait. It's delightful how the attitude and tension of competition drains away as we chat and laugh. I always come away knowing a few of our group a lot better, and having met some of our interesting pals from the Northland or Southern Cal.

It's always a great break and it's FREE! (at least, included in your registration fee).

Where?

At the Church site on Mather. It's just a few minutes' drive from the event.

When?

Saturday, June 27th, late afternoon -- after the last run group.

What's on the menu?
