I'm sorry to share with you that long time SFR member Stan Laskin passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 after a long battle with cancer.

Memorial services for Stan will be held Sunday February 12 at 1:00 pm at the Congregation Rodef Sholom at 170 N. San Pedro Rd in San Rafael.

Stan was a 48-year member of the San Francisco Region. He and his wife Pauline were very active members in the Club. Prior to becoming a steward, Stan drove a variety of race cars including a Saab 96 two-stroke sedan, a Triumph Spitfire, a Big Block '63 Corvette and finally a Tiga S2000.

Stan has been a long time SFR National Chief Steward and was very active in the Region’s club racing events. Stan was a gentleman racer and a gentleman steward. He was proud of his membership in SCCA and the San Francisco Region was proud to have Stan as a member of their family.

Stan was pre-deceased by his wife Pauline in 2009 and his daughter Carol Lee in 2001. He leaves his daughter Leslie and son-in-law Steve; grandchildren Emily and Benjamin; grandchildren Andrew and Abby and their parents Clay and Julie; and many nieces and nephews. Stan also leaves behind a large SCCA family.
