Sunoco — the Official Race Fuel for the 

SFR Sunoco Championship Road Racing Series

$10,000 will be awarded to drivers at SFR Regional events

over the course of the 2011 season.

Sunoco will award $10,000 to SCCA road racers throughout the regional series which runs from April 8-10 at Thunderhill Raceway Park in Willows to October 21-23 Double Points Regional at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

Sunoco is synonymous with high performance fuels in nearly every discipline of racing and SFR is honored to have the company sponsoring its road racing events. The involvement of Sunoco is a three-year partnership with SFR SCCA.

All $10,000 of the Sunoco sponsorship funds will be distributed to drivers in selected groups on each race weekend. Detailed instructions on the sponsorship procedures are listed below.

Sunoco Sponsorship Program Details

Sunoco decals must be placed on each side of every car entered in 2010 SFR events. Decals will be available at Race Administration.

Funds will be distributed to drivers as follows.

Each race group will have two Sunoco Challenge race events:

Money allotted to each race group is based on 2009 entry counts:

Money will be awarded by random drawing for each race group as follows:

Each weekend, drivers in the selected group must go to Race Administration and register their participation in the Sunoco Challenge.

After the race, Race Administration will draw winning names at random from those signed up and notify the drivers. Drivers must have at least practiced to be eligible

Winning drivers must bring a Sunoco fuel proof-of-purchase to Race Administration to receive the prize money certificate. Winners’ checks will be mailed from the Region Office after race results are official.

To be eligible for Sunoco cash awards, drivers must present Sunoco fuel proof-of-purchase, consisting of either race track or off-site Sunoco vendor fuel pump receipts totaling no less than $25 from no earlier than two weeks prior to the day of the race, and no later than the start time of the race.
