. . .listing at least two races completed in the previous 12 months

You should receive a renewal notice from the National SCCA Office the month before it expires. Your license expires on the last day of the month listed in your expiration date. For instance, 03/10 expires on March 31, 2110. NOTE: If you are entering a race weekend that starts on March 31 and runs through April 1, your license is valid for the entire event.

To renew, fill out the Competition License Application form and return with any required documents to the National Office (address on bottom of form). You will need to include: the license renewal fee, proof of participation in the required number of races (two for Regional; see back of form for Vintage and National), and a new physical examination form if it is required.

Physicals must be renewed on this schedule:
  Driver age            Renewal interval
   16-39                     5 years
   40-49                     3 years
   50-59                     two years
   60 and over            every year

For race participation you must list the race date, track, sanction #, car class and finishing position. For San Francisco Region, you can find all this information on the Road Racing page at Race Results  – that links to MyLaps.com.

If you renew in the first three months of the year, please allow extra time for processing at the National Office, as this is when 75% of license renewals are handled. Be sure to keep a copy of all documents you send to the National Office!
