San Francisco Region Volunteer Referral Program Needs YOU!

Often, the best referrals come from existing volunteers. Who better than YOU to share how much FUN it is to participate? Your referrals are so valuable; we’re even willing to pay you for them!

Earn $50 for each referral who becomes an SCCA Volunteer! For every volunteer you refer who signs up for membership and works at least two days, you will receive a $50 gas card or $50 off entry fees! Referrals must be 18 or over.

How does it work?

• Look close to home! Identify friends, family, or co-workers who might enjoy volunteering with SCCA.

• Pick up the phone, send an e-mail, or send a letter! Send SCCA the name and contact information for your referral.

• Share your enthusiasm, and share your stories! Encourage referrals to participate by letting them know how exciting volunteering can be!

• Reap the rewards! For every referral you share who becomes a full-fledged SCCA volunteer and works at least two days, you will receive a $50 gas gift card or $50 off entry fees. Referrals must be 18 years or older.

Who should I refer to be a volunteer?
SCCA volunteers are adults of all ages, and from all walks of life, who share a love of motorsports.

Consider your friends, family, and co-workers for potential volunteer referrals. Do any of them share your passion for racing? Are they able to commit to participating at club events a couple weekends a year?

Try sharing your enthusiasm for racing with those you know, even if they aren’t racing fans – It can be contagious!

How do I submit a referral?
There are a number of ways to submit a volunteer referral – It’s easy!

You can e-mail the Region Office; mail: PO Box 966 Willows, CA 95988; or call us at (530) 934-4455 x 104 with information. The more you share about your referral the better! Phone, address, e-mail and any information regarding their level of interest are all helpful!

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens after I submit a referral?
After you submit a referral, they will be contacted by an SCCA representative and invited to join us as a guest for an upcoming event. If interested, we will arrange for an Ambassador Tour to give them a behind-the-scenes look at racing with SCCA.

What is an Ambassador Tour?
An Ambassador Tour provides potential participants with a behind-the-scenes look at all the volunteer specialties in the San Francisco Region. Ambassador Tours are available at every club event throughout the year and typically begin around 10 a.m. Tours last approximately two hours and, at the end, guests are invited to join all SFR-SCCA workers for lunch.

What happens after the tour?
After the Ambassador Tour, guests are welcome to spectate for the remainder of the day. We also welcome them to sign up for membership with SCCA and try their hand at volunteering in the afternoon.

After the weekend is over, an SCCA representative will follow up with the referral to see if they are interested in becoming a full-fledged volunteer!
