Volunteer training is open to all - new volunteers, continuing volunteers, friends, or anyone wanting to know more about SCCA

Tentative Schedule

Registration opens 8:00 a.m.

8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.     Registration - Coffee and pastries provided

9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.     Overview of Specialties
Crew Chiefs and team members will offer brief descriptions of their specialties and a Behind-the-Scenes look at how to run a race!

10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon     Flagging & Communications
Introduction and overview; Definition of flags and uses; Training on flags and equipment; Q&A.

10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon     Emergency Crew Training (Lot 2)
Introduction and overview; Discussions on safety practices; Discussions on personal
protection attire; Demonstrations of equipment; Q&A.

12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m.     Lunch compliments of San Francisco Region

1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.     Emergency Crew Training Cont. (Lot 2)
Training on equipment, including live-action training and demonstrations on how to put out
a burning vehicle and save lives!    

1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.     Scrutineering/Tech
Introduction and overview of specialties and areas of work; Demonstrations of vehicle
inspections; Q & A; Discussion of changes to Club Racing General Competition Rules and
other processes.

Directions From Highway 101 (To Gate 1):
Merge onto Highway 37 east toward Vallejo
Travel 8 miles until you reach the intersection of Highways 37 and 121
Make a left onto Highway 121 toward Sonoma
Gate 1 is one-half mile ahead on your left

Directions From I-80  (To Gate 1):
Exit onto Highway 37 west toward San Rafael
Travel 15 miles until you reach the intersection of Highways 37 and 121
Merge onto Highway 121 toward Sonoma
Gate 1 is one-half mile ahead on your left

Registration and training will be conducted at Cerini Motorsports inside Infineon Raceway.
Look for signs that will direct you to parking. Walking on foot from the entrance of Gate 1,
make an immediate hard right turn in front of the track. Cerini Motorsports will be at the
end of the road.

On-the-job training can be scheduled at any Regional event by contacting the Region Office a week before the event:  office@sfrscca.org
