How to Fill Out Your Registration Card
The Solo2 Registration Card has many fields, and most of them
are self explanatory. However, there are three fields which
render your card and your entry invalid if you have not filled
them all out.
ALWAYS make sure you've included the following information in the
spaces provided:
- Name
- Car Number
- Class
If you omit any of these items, you may not be allowed to run, or
if you do make your runs, the score keeper may be unable to list
you, so you won't be listed in the official results and won't
receive points or trophies for that event.
More details on each of these:
-
How to fill out the "Name" space:
we hope you can figure this part out. :-)
-
How to fill out the "Car Number" space:
You will choose a car number, or have one assigned to you at
registration. If you choose a number, you must be sure to choose
a number which has not already been taken by another driver in your
class. Registration has a list of permanent car numbers and classes in use.
Your car number must be displayed visibly and legibly on your car.
It may be painted or attached to the side of the car using stickers
or magnetics, written on a side window (not a rear wing window) with
shoe polish, or taped on the side windows or the sides of the car.
If you have a codriver, DON'T FORGET TO CHANGE NUMBERS when you change
drivers, on BOTH sides of the car, or times may be given to the wrong
driver.
When a male and female codriver share the same car, it greatly
simplifies trailer operation if they choose *different* numbers
-- e.g. instead of running 19 CS and
19 CSL, run 19 CS and 91 CSL.
Numbers are usually much more legible than "L"s, and it's very common
for drivers to forget to remove/replace the "L" or for the card sorter
not to notice and to hand the wrong card to the announcer. Although
the rules allow male and female codrivers to run the same numbers,
please be nice to the trailer workers and use different ones.

How to fill out the "Car Classification" space:
Your car has a class, such as CS, DSP, AM, etc. This class should
ALWAYS go in the classification space, even if the entry is not for
points.
If you don't know what class your car belongs in,
Use
this handy Car Classification web site.
You may want to run in one
of the SFR-Only classes, which are described in the
SFR Solo2 Supplemental Regulations.
If you are new to autocross, you should consider running in a
Rookie Class. Here, you can compete
against other new drivers.
To specify certain special classes, additional letter(s)
must be entered in the Class field. These are:
- ST -- Street Tire
- L -- Ladies
- X -- PAX Indexed Class
- R -- Rookie Class
- STL -- Street Tire Ladies
This letter should go after the car class, e.g. CSPL for
a woman driving a CSP car. These may not be combined: there is no
Ladies Rookie class, Ladies PAX class, or Rookie PAX class (the
Rookie classes are already scored using the PAX index, but it is
a different class from the PAX class;
The Ladies Street Tire class is already accounted for in the list).
