Mary Jane Brizard

To all of the San Francisco Region SCCA members:

It has been just about 1 year since the loss of MaryJane Brizard.

I would like to say a special thank you to all of you that came to the Memorial last December.
This past year has been difficult at times especially around the holidays .

I am so very thankful for John and Sandy Graham who have helped Al Brizard during this past year.

I ask that everyone keep John, Sandy, Al and me in there prayers during the holidays.

May God bless you all.

A celebration of life will be held December 19, at 1:30pm, First Baptist Church of Big Oak Flat, 11347 Wards Ferry Road, Big Oak Flat, CA.

July 21, 1939 “ December 5, 2003

MaryJane Brizard, 64, died unexpectedly in a single car accident less than an eighth of a mile from her home in Groveland California, returning from a short trip to the market.

She and her husband of nearly 20 years, Alson Brizard, had moved to Groveland three years ago after selling their farm in Patterson, CA, where they raised walnuts, and MaryJane had a book distribution business.They quickly established Groveland as their home while she became involved with several local charity endeavors, including Helping Hands Thrift Shop and South Side Seniors Center.She belonged to the local quilt club and did business as a seamstress from her home.

In earlier years she and her husband were extremely active in the Sports Car Club of America, where she performed many duties as a volunteer race worker and official.She became the first race official to be in charge of sound monitoring and enforcement, a position that would grow in importance nationwide.

Her husband, a son, John Perry of Concord NC, and granddaughter, Brittany, survives MaryJane.

It is with great sadness that I inform you of the death of Mary Jane Brizard last night. She was involved in a single car accident close to her home in Groveland.
