Tech Inspection InformationUpdated 1/29/09 To have a new log book issued for your car, contact a travel tech or bring your car to a Regional Event. Only licensed SCCA tech inspectors may issue log books. If you want information on a car that previously ran in San Francisco Region: If you have the log book or roll bar number, Samantha Stoker, Chief of Tech MAY be able to assist you: sdstoker@gmail.com 925-939-0744 If the car raced before 1975, SFR Archivist Gary Horstkorta MAY have information on the car: norpacarchivist@comcast.net Samantha and Gary are volunteers. As a courtesy to SCCA drivers, they will provide you with any information that has been retained over the years.

Telephone hours are 6 pm to 9 pm, Monday through Friday; 10 am to 6 pm, Saturday and Sunday. Appointments should be made one to two weeks in advance. Travel Tech is a voluntary service of scrutineers and they may refuse inspections at any time. Travel Tech charges for multiple cars at one location:  | 1 car/$10.00 + mileage | | 2 cars/$9.00 each + 1/2 mileage | | 3 cars/$8.00 each + 1/3 mileage | | 4 cars/$7.00 each + 1/4 mileage | | 5 cars/$6.00 each + 1/5 mileage | | 6 cars/$5.00 each + 1/6 mileage | | 7 cars/$6.00 each + 1/7 mileage | | 8 cars/$6.00 each + 1/8 mileage | | 9 cars +/$2.50 each + 1/x mileage |
Logbook for new car or re-issue logbook = $30 (includes log book) + mileage. Scrutineers may perform out of region inspection. Mileage charge will be a maximum of $1.00 per mile at the inspector's discretion. Additional services such as engine or vehicle disassembly will incur additional charges. All charges will be agreed upon prior to initiating the inspection. |
