Thunderhill Park Event Schedule | SFR Initiates The D.R.A.F.T Program orDRivers Assistance For Testing (Free Track Time)"Your Number is #1"
SFR Director Blake Tatum, on behalf of the Board of Directors, is proud to administrate and operate a Drivers-Only program designed to cut your testing budget, give you more track time, and ensure that our volunteer Official crews can continue to operate fully staffed and fully trained. Everybody is a winner. The basis of our program is simple: Gain credits for test time at Thunderhill Park by volunteering your time on a Specialty crew.
Here are the program rules: - Drivers receive credit for the number of hours worked per event.
- One day = eight hours.
- 16 hours = one day testing.
- The minimum reimbursement is one half day testing.
- Redemption is only available on open testing days (check the Thunderhill Park Event Schedule and Calendar for dates).
- The current version of the card (shown above) expires December 31, 2005.
- Drivers only, no crew members representing drivers.
- Draft Program rewards cannot be used in combination with any other points programs, i.e. VIP, ThumbsUp, etc
Here's how the program works: - Drivers will work partial days at Registration, Tech, Grid, T&S, where ever.
- Its easy to choose your crew, and its easy to get started: Just ask for the Chief of the crew you want to volunteer on, and show your card.
- Show your DRAFT Card. If you don't have a card, ask for one. If you can't find one, go to Race Central. Heck, volunteer at Race Central to give out Draft Cards!
Work out your desired schedule and perform your duties for that period.- Cards are divided up into hourly segments.
- Specialty chiefs will place stickers on the back of the drivers' card equal to the amount of hourly time worked.
- A full card is worth a day testing.
- Bonus! If a participant works four hours or more they will receive a free lunch that day!
If you have any questions of comments, please feel free to contact SFR Director Blake Tatum, via telephone or email, or you can find Blake at the race track most every weekend in the FV Pits, around the paddock, or ask for Blake at Race Central.
