The SFR volunteer race officials and volunteers are the backbone of our club's Road Racing events.

Hand SignalsIt takes a lot of hard work from many individuals to put on a race. SFR has some of the best race official and volunteer crews in the country, as evidenced by our award winning chiefs and commendations from professional sanctioning bodies like SCCA Pro Racing and CHAMP Car.

Being an official or volunteer for SFR SCCA means many things. You get to go places and see things most members only dream about. You can attend at Pro events such as IMSA (American LeMans Series), Rolex Grand Am, and the Monterey Historics, and rub elbows with some of the most famous drivers in the country.

You also get the best seats in the house and a free lunch each day you volunteer. For most events, you can bring a friend free of charge. We also have fun-filled socials at the end of each race day with drinks, snacks and a lot of great race stories! Our race official and volunteer specialty crews are "families" just waiting to adopt you!
