2008 Annual Awards Banquet for Road Racing Drivers and Volunteers

Our longstanding Banquet Chief, Jim Keane says, "Once again this exciting event will be held at the beautiful, completely remodeled San Ramon Marriott Hotel."

Pete Hylton, SCCA Archivist, will be our Master of Ceremonies. Pete is the author of Ghost Tracks which he will be autographing before the banquet. His latest book. The Gentlemen's Club, a history of SCCA and sport cars will be released early in 2009.

We will start Saturday, November 15 with a General Membership Meeting and Luncheon at 12:00 noon. All San Francisco Region members are invited to attend.

Jim and Marcia Keane will host a hospitality room from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. with refreshments and changing facilities for those wishing to change for dinner.

At 5:30 p.m. Registration and no-host cocktail bars will open in the Lobby outside the Banquet Room. At 6:30 p.m. the Banquet Room will open for seating with dinner served at 7:00 p.m.

The menu choices are: Rib Eye Steak, Napa Chicken and Vegetarian Mushroom Struedel including salad, coffee or tea, dessert and two complimentary bottles of wine per table. Price for the banquet this year is $50 per person.

The hotel now charges the general public $10 for parking, however, we have negotiated an exception for our guests. Drive up to the arm barrier, get your parking ticket and exchange it for a validated ticket at the luncheon or dinner from either Marcia Keane or Linda Rogaski.
