Thunderhill Willows Fireworks Fundraiser events

The second running of the Willows Grand Prix will take place on Memorial Day Weekend, May 25-27 at Thunderhill Park. This is also Regional #3 & 4 of the 2007 SFR Championship Series.

This will also be the start of the Thunderhill Track Point Championship for all classes based on SCCA points earned at Thunderhill over the four regional races. Thunderhill Park will award track champion points to those SCCA drivers who earn the most points in the four regional races held at the track in 2007. Points will follow the SCCA format with these additions: drivers must attend all four SCCA regional events over the three scheduled weekends. Five bonus points will e awarded for testing on the test day before each event. The class driver accumulating the most points over the four-race series will be honored as the 2007 Thunderhill Park class champion.

In addition, this weekend will feature the Corning Ford 500 celebrating the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday, May 27. In addition to a full slate of races, Corning Ford will be displaying their 2007 vehicles; there will be a pancake breakfast at 7 a.m. put on by the local Rotary Club, and the track will offer rides at lunch time around the track in a race car for a fee.
