You can now vote for the 2009 San Francisco Region Board of Directors
In 2008, the SFR members approved a change to the Bylaws to allow online voting for the SFR Regional Executive and Board of Directors.
To vote, go to: http://sfrscca.motorsportreg.com
The polls will be open for voting until midnight on Tuesday, November 10.
If you have any problems creating an account or being allowed into the system to vote, please contact MotorsportReg at the phone number or email Customer Service link at the bottom of every page on the web site. They will respond to you promptly.
Problems can occur when trying to match your name and membership number EXACTLY with the information in the National SCCA database.
To vote online
• Voting will open on October 15
• Must be an SFR SCCA member
• The electronic voting system will allow only one vote per valid SFR membership number.
• Must have an email account to vote online (if no email, you must request a paper ballot)
• Go to http://sfrscca.motorsportreg.com
• Create MotorsportReg account if you do not already have one (no cost to you, no credit card needed)
• Select Election link on SFR page
• To be allowed to vote, you must enter your name exactly as it appears on your SCCA membership card
• Voting will be done on one screen using radio buttons (click to select candidate)
• After clicking chosen candidates, click Submit button at bottom of page
• Your online vote is anonymous and secure
• Once you have submitted your vote, it cannot be changed nor can you vote by mail with a paper ballot.
To vote with paper ballot
• Request a ballot from Region Office by mail, email or phone (see contact info below)
• You must give your name and member number to receive a ballot. One request may be made for all family members.
• If you request a paper ballot, you will NOT be able to vote online (your member number is deleted from those eligible) when your request is received.
• Election administrator will verify that your member number has not been voted online before sending out a paper ballot
• You will receive a ballot by mail after October 15; your name and member number will NOT appear on the paper ballot
• Vote and return ballot by mail before deadline (November 10)
• This ballot count will be submitted to MotorsportReg to enter into the online election count
Ballot Count
The ongoing ballot count will not be visible to anyone including the SFR Administrator.
On November 11, the election results will be available online at MotorsportReg and on the SFR web page.
