Weekend Highlights

SFR SCCA Food Drive for Glenn County
Saturday, September 24

Please join us for a food drive for Glenn County here at the Willows Grand Prix on October 24th. Receptacles will be on the walkway in front of the clubhouse as well as a county vehicle. We hope to fill both the truck and the receptacles in a couple of hours. You don't even have to make a special trip to the store, just a few food items from your existing pantry makes a huge difference in someone's life.

Glenn County has an unemployment rate that has skyrocketed. The number of families fed each week has quadrupled since this time two years ago. While we are busy planning our holiday meals, families in this county are wondering if there will be food on the table on a regular day, much less a holiday.

Jim and Marcia Keene will be taking banquet reservations at Registration on Saturday and Sunday. The Annual Awards Banquet will be Saturday, November 14 at the San Ramon Marriott. Reservations need to be made no later than November 9.

The Willows Band will once again provide the entertainment, colors, and Star Spangled Banner to start the races on Sat and again for the Enduro on Sunday. This will also be a fund raiser for their trip to Disneyland. Help with a donation if you can.

Sunday the Rotary will be putting on their famous Pancake Breakfast from
6 – 9 am. Breakfast is Free to all SCCA workers.

The pro shop/mini mart will be open for your shopping pleasure. There are so many new hats, shirts, stickers and of course the GoPro cameras that you can get that special gift now in time for Christmas. Stop by and check it out.

The Thunderhill Grill will be open with the best track food you can find. They also have specialty coffees, smoothies, ice cream and just about anything else you can think of. Stop by and see our famous Deloyce, Alice and the rest of the team. Let them take care of the cooking so you can enjoy the weekend.
